How to avoid disappointment upon watching “One True Love”

LAST NOVEMBER, I WATCHED “One True Love” with Anna Lou and Ela – who were both my classmates in my advanced college units before – at the cinema in SM City Clark. Now, I suppose people who haven’t watched the film will purchase a DVD or VCD of it. So, below is a list of what you should anticipate in order to avoid disappointment upon watching the movie.

1. Expect that there will be peace and harmony when Iza Calzado and Marianne Rivera stare dagger to one another after each unexpected encounter somewhere in the restaurant, comfort room, and the like. (It takes the two of them too much time that if it was an action film, the action was missing.)

2. Expect that there will be a tree meant to be cut due to the construction of a subdivision or a building (I forgot what was actually being established). However, because people witnessed a “kissing scene” in that area, they would decide not to cut the tree anymore even though they have an unbreakable contract. Or perhaps, you may also expect that the engineer giggled with the kissing scene so he rescheduled the demolition of the tree.

3. Expect that cars run so fast that when there is an emergency, they can truly teleport.

Despite that, the concept of the story was distinctive among Filipino movies… honestly! So, that would lessen your disappointment.

Behold the writer! (Well, perhaps....)
