The fate of the two guys in the planet of the “Hypercriticals”

I SHALL REVEAL A secret: There are two guys who happen to feel comfortable with each other. They call themselves “FC” (A colloquial Filipino term for “Feeling close” – which means they feel at ease with each other even though they still don’t know each other so well).

Some people say their features have some resemblance; yet others disagree…

The first guy is older. He happens to have more resources than the other one. Yet no one can say that he is blessed or that he is richer. Well, he is incapable of certain emotions, which most people do enjoy. As well, he’s just fond of frittering because he is materialistic and superficial.

As well, this guy is also schizophrenic – he has two personalities that pole apart. In the classroom, his classmates often doubt his sexuality and say he is “alanganin” (Filipino term pertaining to those guys whom people think as gay).

In other places, he tends to be the silent-type. His personality is an unquestionable mystery. Yet, he has his charm to gays; so some people may reckon him as man who’s amenable to get into a relationship with effeminate gays for the sake of financial assistance or so…

Meanwhile, the second guy has the same aura like that of the latter. And the remaining side of his life should remain as, of course, a mystery…

Thus, the first guy learned to give importance to him like that of an older brother. Often, he lends him is things.

Conversely, when people found out that they got closer to each other, gossips started to spread it self through the mouth of injustices. They say they have a relationship; so the first guy started to get destructed by rumors.

Yet, the younger one acts and thinks maturely than the other. He gets destructed to hearsays with lesser impact than his older counterpart.

Still, no one can tell if when things would start to fall apart…

****

With that story, I wish people would realize that the power of their words is sharper than the tip of their daggers. I wish they would lessen their judgments and stop repeating hearsays with no verification. I wish they would stop linking insufficient details that are just based on the defunct past, mouthed from untrustworthy sources.

Gossips may tarnish reputations and ruin friendships. It would start unjust hearsays that would hurt without physical injury. It may spread with the speed of light without factual verification.

If you happen to see these two guys, would you judge them the same way? If yes, then I wish you realize you’re very offensive!

Someday, I wish it would be easy for two guys with doubtful personalities to be friends without being stared-dagger by the eyes of the hypercritical people....
