I miss the angel singing

Charmaine Piamonte on her first week in Pinoy Pop Superstar when she first won the Championship title, which she defended for four consecutive weeks.

PUTATIVELY, I WOULD HAVE written a different topic; however, I got captivated in viewing Charmaine Piamonte's videos on YouTube.com redundantly. Thus, I’ve forgotten what I was about to write...

If a boat sinks

IF A BOAT OF ten passengers is plummeting at the sea where a nearby small island is footed, what do you think would the fate of its passengers be if all of them are beauticians in panic?

Facebook: Partly an anti-depressant

LAST NIGHT, I TRIED to use Facebook. That was the foremost time in my life that I’ve used Facebook ardently. But of course, it wasn’t the first time I ever joined the said social networking site (SNS) – I joined almost a decade ago (a hyperbole!)!

I wonder what ever happened to Timothy. I saw the T-shirt he was advertising on Facebook and it flabbergasted me to see that the t-shirt was included in my photos. Gee, I never uploaded such a photo in my profile. (It seems like the rationale I haven’t been using Facebook is that it’s somehow intricate than the famous SNS that preceded it.)

An excerpt from a letter for my mentor…

...... However, honestly speaking, I suppose I can't finish that bond.

I'm persistently looking for another job that's related with writing, or with the course that I took -- AB Mass Comm. I trust the Lord God for whatever plans He has for me though.

I'm still with this telecom industry for now. I know I would have to defray the bond if I resign. I won't do it though unless I find the alternate job.

But what I'm feeling right now is exactly the same feeling I felt during the days that I took BS Nursing. There are certain words that I hear from my heart... "First choice is not always the best!"

The fright from feeling better

I’M FEELING BETTER TODAY. Yet, I’m so afraid… afraid that the reason of this temporary improvement in my emotion is brought by the same reason, which breaks my sentiments into shattered glasses…

The debut

GOOD LUCK TO THE person who shall carry my semi-formal polo adorned with blue stripes and unique contour of a uniquely designed frontal pocket.

Just be careful – one of its buttons, near the mid-section, is “drooping”…

Lending my clothes…

I DON’T LEND MY clothes to anyone. Today, however, I did. Perhaps, it’s because the borrower is someone I reckon as my closest bother…

Precious gifts

IT WAS A SET OF gifts. There was a jet-black leather bag, a white pouch covered with black lace, a grayish silver version of the former, and some purple, and gold combinations of the latter. These were for the panelists…

Today is the panel interview of those who are applying for the next Pioneer Editorial Board. I bought tokens for the panelists whom I thought are all females. So, I bought bags and pouch for all of them. There was Ma’am Tina, Ma’am Gwen, a representative for the Guidance & Counseling Office, and a representative from the CCF – it was Sir Pines!

The dream

I WONDER WHY MELFORD, my former senior editor (with LD), did not reply last night to my message when I told him my recent dream, which was about the three of us with Mitch. I thought there will be a gap between us. I realized, perhaps, he is conservative. But then, I remember he isn’t like that.

How to make people guilty of false defamation?

IF YOU WANT TO make people culpable from defaming you, be true to those people who are true to you. So that when people blacken your reputation, your conscience remains clean despite all lies…

Attempted murder

THE CLOCK WAS TICKING. The door was closed. However, I turned the knob, and then there was clank. I ambled towards the study table where a person was sitting. I should’ve taken out my knife, held it using my right hand, reversely from my thumb’s side; it should’ve been in an offensive position. Then, I would’ve had seen him/her there: preparing some documents to be presented in front of the board or a certain committee. I would’ve had stabbed him/her before he/she had presented those documents on the subsequent morning. I swear!

A lesson for tonight

ONE LESSON I HAVE learned in my life, as of 11:58 pm, is…

“Not all altruistic people are repaid with good rewards. Being kind doesn’t ensure you a good karma.”

Suicidal week

THIS WEEK, I WILL work on my thesis in order to submit it on the 27th of February.

Tumblebugs and Diablo

I’VE BEEN PLAYING A computer game almost the entire day since I got home. I tried playing Tumblebugs. I know I’m too late to learn this for now; however, it isn’t arduous to learn the rules. I, somehow, discharged my stress by playing it.

I remember the last time I’ve ever played in a computer was when I was in Grade school. I was playing Diablo back then…

Where would be the next Luzonwide press con?

I RECEIVED THE NEWS this morning that the next Luzonwide press con will be in Pagudpud, Ilocos…
This very thrilling! I’ve always sought going to Pagudpud too. Well, just like in Palawan, there are beaches in Pagudpud. Anywhere where water and Earth meet is a place for my relaxation; I consider the beach as my Nirvana.

The moment of Truth

THIS WEEK, FORD SAID, might be the announcement of the awardees of The Outstanding Students (TOS) in AUF in diverse categories like Leadership, Journalism, Community Service, Performing Arts, Science and Technology, Christian Formation, and Loyalty. The secondly mentioned category is where I am competing in. No matter what the result will be, I’ll be ready to accept it because I never planned for this!

The deleted part in the essay

THE ITALICIZED PART IN the paragraph below was the part, which Ma’am Elvi asked me to remove because it ruins the essence and the seriousness of my essay.

The Narra medal

MY SISTER SENT ME an email. I asked her to send it because I’ll be using its attachments. It contains two photographs, one of which was the medal I earned from a feature writing contest when I visited Tuguegarao.

I forgot to tell Madame Ambassador that…

THE ACCOLADE THAT THE ambassador told me could have earned me a new career, I suppose. (Conversely, it increased my confidence regardless if it’s true or false.) However, I’m not the type who’s predisposed with the gift of public relation (PR). I don’t know how to acquire those skills to respond, with either verbal or non-verbal cues, to the behaviors and opinions of people in a juncture, occasion and the like.

Just as when someone tells you, “You’re hair looks terrific!” You may either say, “You’re joking but thank you!” or “It’s not on its pinnacle yet…”

Not capable of loving…

I’LL NEVER FORGET WHAT Ruffa Gutierrez said in Desperadas 2. There, she plays the role of Isabela, a woman who tries assiduously to become adroit in managing her money. But what’s notable of her is that she’s not into earnest relationships, and she never bequeaths herself to love. Yes, she may have a lover, but she never confides her time to him. She’d rather have a fling instead…
