Top 10 skills I have acquired and done best in my 24 years of existence

I turned 24 last April 1st and this is my birthday entry for my 24 years of existence …
… and still counting!

BEFORE TURNING 24, I have joined various organizations and tried numerous activities, including Taekwondo, publication writing, and weightlifting, and even theater acting and singing. In all these, though, I suppose I’ve never been the “best”—a word that I associate with being outstanding in every aspect. Hence, I’ve enumerated the skills I’ve done preeminently, those that I may have learned to master, or at least to get the hang of, from all the things I tried and organizations I joined… or even from experiences, painful and blissful, I encountered.

Stranded

IT WAS RAINING HEAVILY. April’s gradation party took place in Florida – a very far-flung land from the City of San Fernando…

Mitch, Apple and I attended the celebration at April’s house.

For certain reasons our arrival to Florida, as well as our departure from the area, was delayed. However, we were never stranded.

The rainy year for the Dragons

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL GRADUATES this year. Most of us are born in 1988 – the year of the dragon. They say we are very fortunate…

Do you believe in that?

****

This year, the College of Nursing in AUF, the university where I am studying and soon to be graduating (tomorrow), has the biggest number of graduates. Proudly speaking, lesser students were demoted and kicked out from the college compared to former years.

The best weapons against pride

TRY TO BE SWEET and kindhearted – doing so will make even pride itself to bow down on his knees, asking for forgiveness.

Recharging the battery instead of eating

MY MANDARIN CLASS WAS finally dismissed. I went to Chowking-AUF to eat my dinner. But I was invited by myself to sit for awhile because I’ve read a text message…

Abruptly, I was smiling.

Is this a stress-causing genus?

RECENTLY, A FRIEND OF mine saw a white particle in my hair strand. I don’t know what it is; however, it looks like a wax that had turned into a thread, which was spliced with a one of my ash-blond hair strands. As if it was formerly a non-living creature that acquired life by being a parasite, which scrounges the proteins in my hair.

The earrings for April told me something

I BOUGHT EARRINGS FOR April, a co-editor in The Pioneer who I reckon as a true friend, when I came from Baguio. They have a purple pearl-shaped stone festooned upon a dangling series, affixing an amethyst-like rock in the middle.

Last night, I finally gave it to her. I don’t know if she’s pleased with them; however, her facial expression delineated that she was. But the highlight of this story was her statement. She said the pearl-shaped stones are color blue.

I was flabbergasted!

As far as I can see, they are purple.
